Breakheart Pass (1975)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 94m
Director: Tom Gries
Cast: Charles Bronson, Ben Johnson, Richard Crenna, Jill Ireland

Synopsis:

A train carrying two carriages of cavalry, the Nevada state governor and his niece, and a tropical disease expert winds its way up the Rocky Mountains towards a cholera stricken military fort. Also on board is a dangerous killer under guard, who may be more, or less, than he seems.

Review:

The classic MacLean setup of devious characters and hidden agendas transfers well to the Western format, and this Gershwin-Kastner production is filled with familiar faces. Bronson makes a perfect inscrutable hero, and the tense atmosphere in extreme conditions is well sustained.
