Bowling for Columbine (2002)

£0.00

Country: CAN/GER/US
Technical: DuArt 120m
Director: Michael Moore
Cast: Michael Moore, Charlton Heston, Marilyn Manson

Synopsis:

The filmmaker sets out to examine why gun crime is so virulent in America, even though other countries share similar conditions and histories. The only answer he comes up with is 'fear', a fear which Marilyn Manson sinisterly claims is fostered by the media and government.

Review:

A compelling documentary which uses humour, dreadful statistics and stories from the headlines to make its points, and has only a couple of low spots (one of them being the climax, where he goes after Heston, president of the NRA, in tabloid, hectoring fashion.)
