Barbarella (1967)

£0.00

Country: FR/IT
Technical: col/scope 98m
Director: Roger Vadim
Cast: Jane Fonda, John Phillip Law, Anita Pallenberg

Synopsis:

Intergalactic nymphet, Barbarella, is despatched on a mission to foil the villainous project of Durand-Durand (sic). What it was, someone forgot to make clear, but she it's alright, she gets to have plenty of orgasms along the way.

Review:

Hilarious and often very cheap pulp Sci-Fi, an expensive giftwrap for Fonda's shapely form. When David Hemmings appears, it stops being incidentally funny and plays for laughs, which is perhaps why it is a lot less fun than Flash Gordon (1980).
