The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col/2.35:1 136m
Director: Marc Webb
Cast: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field

Synopsis:

Peter Parker loses his father because he knew too much about some dubious research involving cross-genetic mutation, but grows up ignorant of all this, until he inadvertently exposes himself to its effects, and enables his father's former colleague to do the same, with less felicitous results.

Review:

It is not explained why the hero is not 'cured' at the end by the antidote, but otherwise this is a satisfyingly brisk and jokey retread of ground already covered by Sam Raimi's trio of Spiderman films (one hesitates to use the word 'trilogy').
