Avalon (1990)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 128m
Director: Barry Levinson
Cast: Armin Mueller-Stahl, Elizabeth Perkins, Joan Plowright, Aidan Quinn

Synopsis:

A family of Polish Jews tries to make good in America, having moved there in the early 1900s. It is now the late forties and there a number of frictions within the family, as is not uncommon with second generation immigrants.

Review:

Like Diner and Tin Men, this is one of Levinson's autobiographical films, and again he clearly has invested himself in it heart and soul. Episodic, as is the nature of these family sagas, but full of humour and with an eclectic cast.
