Apache Drums (1951)

£0.00

Country: US
Technical: col 75m
Director: Hugo Fregonese
Cast: Stephen McNally, Willard Parker

Synopsis:

Assorted stereotypes are surrounded by Apaches and barricade themselves in a church.

Review:

A western with some points of interest, though certainly not the dialogue. There are variedly successful attempts to ape the lighting effects of the Lewton horror films in this colour one of the same stable; there is a chorus of 'Men of Harlech' to raise besieged spirits (over a decade before Zulu); and the Irish reverend interestingly hails from Wales.
