Besides some of the stars, many of the same characters, situations, even lines, are resurrected from The Maltese Falcon for service in this uninspired piece of propaganda plotting. Forget the plot, though, and admire the script, the easy performances, and the pacing - so swift you don't even notice the irrelevance of the title. Some good compositions, too, though the first half is better in every way.
