Country: MEX
Technical: col/2.35:1 82m
Director: Diego Luna
Cast: Christopher Ruíz-Esparza, Karina Gidi, José María Yazpik

Synopsis:

A young boy returns to his mother and siblings after a spell in an institution. At first withdrawn, he soon adopts the demeanour and speech of a paterfamilias and after some awkwardness the four settle down to a modus vivendi. Then the mother's errant husband returns and upsets the mix.

Review:

A film about the unquestioning nature of maternal love and Mexican macho attitudes to the family, amusingly aped by the boy, then reaffirmed all over again by the returning father. The mother and child are both very good, and it is a confident directorial outing for Y tu mamá también actor, Luna.
