Naturally he looks up a childhood friend who bears a grudge against him, and there is a beautiful undercover cop for him to dally with, but this is broadly the mix as before: the fetishization of fast tyres and speedometers, pounding music, toned bodies, impossible stunts and a pair of male co-stars who gaze at each other in Hawksian mutual adoration.
