10 (1979)
(Ten)
Country: US
Technical: col/scope 122m
Director: Blake Edwards
Cast: Dudley Moore, Julie Andrews, Bo Derek
Synopsis:
A Beverly Hills middle-aged man is sexually restless when he meets his feminine ideal. But reality falls somewhat short of expectations.
Review:
The inevitable consequence of the increased permissiveness, combined with the promiscuity of the drug-fuelled Hollywood scene, was this box-office hit: Shampoo with the political satire taken out. There are funny moments, lots of sex and rudeness, and it made a star of Dudley Moore finally, after years in the doldrums. But being based around an anti-climax the film somehow cannot help becoming one.
