Synopsis:
A lighthouse keeper on Cape Horn falls foul of pirates and fails to save a survivor of their rapine from a fate worse than death.

In fact the location is far from clear and in general the film suffers from a vagueness as to its origins and its theme. Douglas ends up surviving against all odds to blow the ship out of the water, heroine and all, and one wonders what we are to make of that. It is, however, quite unlike anything made before or since.
